Hi! I am proud to be volunteering as an intern at The Borgen Project because I firmly believe that addressing global issues, such as poverty is crucial, now more than ever. My motivation is deeply rooted in my personal experience. On my birth island of Mauritius we have witnessed how the effects of environmental degradation go hand in hand with the acceleration of poverty. It is clear to see the vital link between global and sustainable development, as well as the negative turbulent impacts these issues will cause worldwide.
