Fundraising Goal: $500

How did you get interested in global issues?
At a young age, I was introduced to global issues mainly by my siblings and family. I was always told that there is always something more I can do to help better the lives of others, whether that be fundraising, attending events, or as simple as volunteering at a soup kitchen. Although the majority of my time was spent advocating for the needy in my community, I knew that my voice and actions could open so many doors for others around the world as well.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I’m essentially giving my time to serve the world’s poor because I feel like it’s the right thing to do. I say this because we live in a world where we tend to be consumed with ourselves and only ourselves, rather than the well-being of the people around us. If we have the ability to speak out and give a voice to the voiceless then why not? Individuals live in conditions that you and I could never imagine, yet they do the best that they can with the life that was given to them. Now is the time to do what is right.
