How did you get interested in global issues?
I became interested in global issues after my deployment to Afghanistan. While there, I noticed the effects of poverty, instability, and how conflict can ruin a nation. I also have had the luxury of traveling to Ecuador and Israel with my university. Both trips opened my eyes to extreme poverty and conflict even more so than they had been before.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
Because it is the right thing to do. I have had the privilege to be born in America and because of that and my opportunities available, I believe it is important to use these opportunities to advocate for those less able to.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
When I have time, I like to play video games, read, go to the gym, and watch boxing and hockey.

My compassion/humility list:
I will do the following for any friends or family who donates in my honor…
1. 100: Make you dinner or take you to a nice restaurant!
2. 250: Put a video on all my social media accounts of me dancing.
3. 550: Tattoo your initials on me, but on my area of choice,
