Name: Favour Pada
Location: London, United Kingdom
Role: Nonprofit Leadership Team member
Fundraising Goal: £400
How did you get interested in global issues?
I volunteered with the University Law Clinic during my undergraduate years. There, I got exposed to various challenges facing the criminal justice system and the impact of extreme poverty in Nigerian communities.
Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I would say it’s because the issue of poverty hits close to home. I’ve witnessed the effect it has on different families especially women and girls in Nigeria beyond statistics. I’ve also seen the effect of foreign assistance and interventions in transforming lives for good.
Any interesting tidbits to share?
Walking is my favorite form of exercise. I’m a team player everywhere else except in the kitchen and I cook as a form of self-care.
