Name: Farihah Tasneem
Location: Sanford, Florida
Position: Writing Intern

Fundraising Goal: $500

How did you get interested in global issues?
My interest in global issues, and specifically, eradicating poverty, came from the country I was born and raised in. My interest grew over the years as I saw people live in severe devastating situations with a high scarcity of basic human needs. It motivated me to work towards bringing awareness and making a difference in this paramount global issue.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
Everyone deserves a chance at a good life. I grew up seeing poverty and people suffering from a lack of basic needs. Now, to give back, I want to use this platform to speak for those who are not able to do so for themselves.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
When I’m not fighting global poverty, I like to travel, paint, watch movies and read.
