I am passionate to help those who are facing food insecurity, malnutrition and at a risk from exploitation, due to poverty by tackling the root causes of these issues. I believe in providing people with access to safe affordable nutritious food and helping them to build sustainable food systems which promote the socio-economic development of communities. I am committed to addressing the disparities between the haves and have nots and to understanding the principles of ethical trade between producers and consumers. My ultimate goal is to promote sustainable and adequate food security across the globe and ensure that food is nutritious, safe, secure, and accessible to all. I understand that through this internship, I will have the opportunity to learn and be part of something bigger than myself. I am excited to help bring change to developing countries around the world. I am looking forward to my journey as an intern at The Borgen Project and to making a difference. Prevention is the cure and with collective effort we can change the world.
