Name: Evangelia Ioanna Evana Pliakos
Location: Elmhurst, Illinois
Position: PR/Marketing Intern

Fundraising Goal: $500

How did you get interested in global issues?
I attended an International School in Greece which gave me the opportunity to travel across Europe and take part in many Model UN Conferences.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
Because I am looking into the ways to use my passion of helping others efficiently in order to do good and explore my options for building a career around giving back to others.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
Throughout this internship, I will be based in Greece calling Congress at random hours, such as midnight or 2am (my time) to ask them to support the International Affairs Budget and other efforts that I really care about.
