Eva O'Donovan

Name: Eva O’Donovan
Location: Scotland, United Kingdom
Role: Writer/Journalist Team Member

Fundraising Goal: £400

How did you get interested in global issues?
Since I was young I’ve taken an interest in issues that are not just relevant to me, but to the world as a whole. Growing up, I was encouraged to ask questions and educate myself about things like poverty, climate change and gender inequality. As a result, I went on to study global politics at university.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
Throughout my life, I have seen inequality on a huge scale. Coming from a more privileged background, I feel I need to do my bit to fight poverty. A more equal world is a better world for everyone.

My Compassion/Humility List
I will do the following for any friends and family who donate in my honor.

  • £70 – Cook a Spanish style dinner.
  • £40 – Sponsored silence.
  • £100 Shovel snow from driveways.
