How did you get interested in global issues?
My studies at Colgate have exposed me to many humanitarian issues around the world, and I have since developed a passion for helping those in need.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
Unlike many other global issues, poverty is not just regional; it affects people in virtually every country and continent. That said, it is also an issue that does not seem to garner the attention or support that it warrants. Therefore, I would like to do whatever I can to spread awareness and provide aid to less fortunate people around the world.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
I am a Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies/Political Science double major at Colgate, and I spent part of last summer studying Arabic in Rabat, Morocco.
