Etela Zdechovanova

Name: Etela Zdechovanova
Location: Brighton, United Kingdom
Role: PR/Marketing Team Member

Fundraising Goal: £400

How did you get interested in global issues?
I think I became more aware of the global issues when the war in Ukraine broke out. I am from a neighbouring country and even then I felt so helpless, so after that I decided I want to help as much as I can.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
Why not? I always say, if I can help in any way, what kind of person would I be if I did nothing, not even the bare minimum?

Any interesting tidbits to share?
I love all thing pop culture – books, movies, music, everything! I also really enjoy a good hike and spontaneous trips to anywhere.

My Compassion/Humility List
I will do the following for any friends and family who donate in my honor.

  • £2 – Will draw you a portrait – quality not guaranteed.
  • £5 – I will make you a very specific Spotify playlist using only Taylor Swift songs.
  • £10 – I will cook you my favourite tomato soup.
