Name: Erik Savage
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Position: Human Resources Intern

Fundraising Goal: $500

How did you get interested in global issues?
I got interested in global issues at an early age from watching documentaries, reading things like National Geographic, and seeing the people from my church go on mission trips.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I’m volunteering my time because I get to wake up warm, comfortable, and with a full belly. Everyone deserves that.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
My dream job is to run a nonprofit that trains rescue dogs as service dogs for veterans in need.

My compassion/humility list:
I will do the following for any friends or family who donates in my honor…

  1. If I raise over $750, I will shave my head
  2. If someone donates over $25, I will write a humorous poem for you
  3. If you donate $75+, I will make you dinner
