I have chosen to volunteer for The Borgen Project because I want to be an agent of change. Within the news, atrocities are continuously recounted and I firmly believe that the UK government, as well as many others such as the US can be doing more to help. The pandemic has only made these atrocities worse. The only difference between the people living within the atrocities and myself is chance, and I know for a fact that if I was born in a country without the privileges the UK can afford, I would want those who did have the opportunity to fight for me to do exactly that.
