Position: Political Affairs Intern

How did you get interested in global issues?
As a child of immigrants, global issues were always discussed at home. It was always something I took a great interest in. Once I began high school, I was able to take classes such as Comparative Government and college courses such as Anthropology, which only furthered my interest on the subject. Global issues are issues that should matter to everyone in order to better our society.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I am volunteering because it is important to give those who have historically been silenced and overlooked a voice. By taking the time to educate myself and others on the topic of poverty, a real change can happen.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
For the past year, I have been a dance teacher for a Persian Dance Troupe, which is something I love doing. My hobbies include traveling, reading, camping, and making espressos. My major is government and politics.

  1. $100 for babysitting
