How did you get interested in global issues?
My interest in global issues stems from the direct impact these issues have on people’s lives, regardless of where they live. My Polish background has provided me with a unique perspective on the impact of political and economic changes on people’s lives. Being from a country that has undergone significant change in the last 30 years has given me an understanding of the importance of addressing global issues such as poverty, inequality, and corruption, and specialising in the Middle East for my degree. I am also particularly interested in the MENA region as it is often at the centre of global conflicts, and I believe that understanding the political and social dynamics in the region is crucial for promoting peace and stability. All these factors have led me to become passionate about global issues, and I am committed to working towards a fairer and equal world for all people.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
By volunteering my time to serve the world’s poor at The Borgen Project, I am making a conscious effort to give back to those in need. I understand the importance of addressing global poverty and its detrimental effects on individuals and communities. By dedicating my time and energy to this cause, I am hoping to do my part in creating a more equitable and just world. I also see this as an opportunity to learn and grow as an individual.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
I am a student at University College London, studying International Social and Political Studies, specialising in Arabic and International Relations.
