Name: Darie Levermore
Location: Fairfax Station, Virginia
Role: Advocate

Fundraising Goal: $500

How did you get interested in global issues?
My family is from Jamaica, so I have seen poverty first hand. Also, problems around the world that have been broadcasted on the news sparked my interest.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I have recently realized the amount of items and opportunities that I can take advantage of in my daily life, and I would like to raise enough awareness so that someone who is experiencing poverty around the world will eventually be able to experience some things that I have.

Any interesting tidbits to share?

  1. Apple pie is my favorite dessert
  2. I love to read
  3. An unpopular opinion I have is that pineapple goes on pizza :)
