How did you get interested in global issues?
I have always been a fan of history. I see it as a study of growth and intercultural communication. Global issues and foreign policy interest me because they make history and play a major role in how billions of individuals live their lives.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I became interested in volunteering after visiting Savanna La Mar, Jamaica and experiencing first-hand how some individuals live without the necessities and luxuries I often take for granted. It provided me with valuable insight and sparked my interest in wanting to make a difference.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
I love a good documentary, anime, or debate. While I am not a fan of drama, I gravitate toward controversy as those topics breed the best forms of discernment and reflection. I’m all for having a good time.
