Name: Daniel
Location: London, United Kingdom
Role: Writer

Fundraising Goal: $500

How did you get interested in global issues?
A love of Flags led me to explore the meanings and origins of their symbolism and colour choices. This always leads down the rabbit hole of history and geopolitics eventually.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I am very lucky to have the opportunities and life experiences that are not afforded to many others. It is therefore my responsibility to do whatever I can to give something back.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
I have never willingly watched Lord of the Rings. I have fewer than the standard number of organs. I have been writing the same play for several years.

My Compassion/Humility List
I will do the following for any friends and family who donate in my honor.
$75 to stay awake for 24 hours, $100 to run up a very big hill of your choice, $500 to shave my head.
