Name: Christopher Nolan
Location: Amherst, MA
Position: Political Affairs Intern

Fundraising Goal: $700

How did you get interested in global issues?
My interest in global issues goes hand-in hand with my passion for politics. I have always believed in activism, and individual effort to ensure fair conditions for everyone. I knew The Borgen Project would be a great fit for me from the moment I learned about it and look forward to devoting this time to helping people in such an immense way.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I do not believe it is right that we allow the wealthy to accumulate more riches than any person could ever want, while others are not having their basic needs met through no fault of their own. It is in my character to want to help fix this situation in any ways I can, and volunteering with The Borgen Project I feel is a great place to start!

My compassion/humility list:
I will do the following for any friends or family who donates in my honor…

  1. $50: I will send you a personalized Spotify playlist with songs that are just for you.
  2. $100: I will make a dozen posters about how awesome you are and hang them all over a crowded area of your choice.
  3. $250: I will travel to your home with a favorite meal of your choice and a small group of live musicians including myself, and we will give you a show you’ll never forget.
