Name: Christina Laucello
Location: Chicago, IL
Position: Writer

Fundraising Goal: $500

How did you get interested in global issues?
I was brought up in a home that frequently discussed politics, history and culture. My upbringing at home and at Holy Cross Academy taught me concern for the world’s poor and to think about how we could make a difference in the world.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
As an ENFP, I have always wanted to put my energies to work by serving those in need. It simply never felt right that so many deserving people around the world would have to suffer hunger, danger and illness, the likes of which I could never imagine. I knew that if I cared, the only option was to do something.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
My hobbies include ballroom dance, weightlifting, and creative writing. I love poetry, Russian literature, dogs, and trying new foods.

My compassion/humility list:
I will do the following for any friends or family who donates in my honor…

  1. $75: Cook you dinner
  2. $100: Write a poem about your awesomeness and cook you dinner
  3. $250: Serenade you outside your window
