Name: Catherine Doyal
Location: Chicago, Il
Position: Political Affairs Intern

Fundraising Goal: $500

How did you get interested in global issues?
I am currently pursuing a degree in Political Science which has allowed me to gain insight into how other countries operate and the policies surrounding decision making. The classes that I take for my major force me to think critically about foreign policies and understand the importance of addressing global issues.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I personally feel as though people often forget about the world’s poor because it is not typically discussed or focused on throughout primary media outlets. I decided to volunteer my time to serve the world’s poor because it is important to assist those who are in situations that are out of their control and do not have the resources to help themselves.
