Position: Human Resource Intern

Fundraising Goal: $500

How did you get interested in global issues?
Through my years of studying in school, watching the news, and reading the newspaper I have learned of the various intricacies of the world and the issues that arise around them. Recent political changes have further propelled my interest in learning about global issues and one way to show that interest and try and make a difference is by working with The Borgen Project.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I believe that the world’s poor is one of the most disadvantaged groups there is, and yet they seem to be so frequently overlooked. Far too often does the news discuss the wealthy and middle classes while the poor are left out of the equation. As such, through my previous experience working with the poor and homeless, I have made it my mission to make a difference in my community and the world.
