How did you get interested in global issues?
While global issues have always been an interest of mine, it was not until my trip to Tanzania in 2015 that I had a passion for helping alleviate deprived factions. While on my trip, I was touched by many families whom I had the pleasure of meeting. Seeing firsthand how people in third world countries live their everyday lives was extremely eye-opening. The U.S. is generally very privileged, and going to a country where a majority of people live in poverty made me realize how much I wanted to help fix the global issues at hand.

While some will ignore these issues, I want to make a difference and take action to help people around the world overcome poverty.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I believe that improving the lives of those who live in poverty is extremely important. I have been exposed to people who live in poverty all over the world, and every single time one thought crosses my mind: “How can I make this better?”

It is one of my personal goals to ameliorate poverty across the globe and improve the lives of many. By volunteering my time, I believe that my actions will make a difference for those living impoverished lives.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
I love travelling and immersing myself into different cultures. One of my many goals is to visit each continent at least once throughout my life.

In my free time, I love reading, spending time with friends and family, and watching crime/thriller shows.
