Name: Anna Scott
Location: Aberdeen, UK
Role: Political Affairs Team member

Fundraising Goal: £500

How did you get interested in global issues?
My interest in global issues began when my father moved to Dubai. A predominantly conservative city, I was fascinated by the economic and social changes made over the past two decades, triggered by growing capitalism in the Middle East. I believe that in our changing world, politics is one of the only disciplines that affects each and every individual.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I want to help people. I was brought up to always provide a helping hand to those in need. While global poverty is something that may seem on the other side of the world, there is so much that can be done, no matter where or who you are. I think we should all utilise what we have to help others.
