How did you get interested in global issues?
I have always been interested in learning how interconnected our world is, sharing the same issues and solutions such as climate change and global poverty. These worldwide issues are gaining more attention from nations and the general public, which spurred my curiosity towards global issues.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
Recently I went on a trip to New York City and witnessed an eye opening degree of homelessness, knowing that the state has the second highest homeless population in the United States it was still extremely shocking to witness. After experiencing this and interacting with some people deemed homeless whilst on my trip, it has made me differ my opinion about modern day society. This is due to the fact that this ‘city of dreams’ holds a lack of hope and expectation for the homeless population of the city. Afterwards this experience stayed with me during my return home, desiring me to try and attain a change regarding the world’s poor.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
I take history, politics and international relations as a bachelors of arts degree, I also love traveling and have a bucket list full of places that I am excited to visit.
