Name: Ameena Abdulla
Location: Queens Village, NY
Position: Political Affairs Intern

Fundraising Goal: $500

How did you get interested in global issues?
I became interested in global issues once I learned about the many improvements that our world needs since I’ve been going to John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I am volunteering my time to serve the world’s poor because I want to be able to give back to the many that are less fortunate than I am.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
One of my favorite things to do is creating hampers to send to those who do not have clothes. Most times, I would use the many clothes that I have never worn or I would go shopping specifically for clothing to put in the hamper.
