Name: Amber Dawson
Location: Lakewood, Ohio
Position: PR/Marketing Internship

Fundraising Goal: $500

How did you get interested in global issues?
I have been interested in global issues since I was in high school. I’ve always found it important to remain aware of what was going on in the world we live in. The more I learned about other countries, the more my heart ached for a way to help.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
There is nothing better I could do with my voice and passion than to help those who need help the most. I was raised in a household where we were taught the value of helping those with less, and I’ve tried to remain true to that in my adult life.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
I’m kept pretty busy between class, work, and this internship, but when I have free time, I love to read, write, spend time with my loved ones, do yoga, and spend time outdoors.

My compassion/humility list:
I will do the following for any friends or family who donates in my honor…
1. $50: Make you a playlist
2. $75: Make you dinner
3. $100: Come over and help you with any household chores
