Name: Alexi-Leopold Narcisse
Location: Brooklyn, New York
Role: Political Affairs Intern
Fundraising Goal: $500
How did you get interested in global issues?
I was raised to pay attention to both domestic and global issues. That coupled with my education from college have kept my interest in politics and international issues at the forefront of my mind. Being able to help the world and its people are important both for myself and the success of our planet.
Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
There is a trend in today’s political climate to not help the helpless. The U.S. has been engaging in isolationist policies which disregard and oppress the ones who need help the most. This is not the America I know. The America I know helps the international community and provides assistance both because it is morally the right thing to do and it benefits for our country.
Any interesting tidbits to share?
My hobbies are photography, video games, and working out!
