How did you get interested in global issues?
I grew interested in global issues as I started travelling more. When I went to other countries and even local neighboring towns, I realized that my perspective of the world was very limited. In order to change that, I grew more interested in global issues so that I could learn more about the world.
Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
“The children in Africa don’t have food so don’t waste your food!” is a common thing parents tell their children. However, the steps to ensure children in Africa and other poverty ridden areas are well fed is disregarded. That is why I feel that it is my time to step up and help change that.
Any interesting tidbits to share?
I love Broadway musicals and Ben Platt. I enjoy recreational swim.
My compassion/humility list:
I will do the following for any friends or family who donates in my honor…
- For a $100 donation, I will make you dinner for 3 days.
- For a $250 donation, I will clean your house twice.
- For a $500 donation, I will let you dye my hair.
