Name: Adam Malik
Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Role: Advocate

Fundraising Goal: $500

How did you get interested in global issues?
Growing up in a third world country showed me the lack of help given to the world’s poor and taught me the need to help impoverished communities around the globe.

Why are you volunteering your time to serve the world’s poor?
I am volunteering in order to help those in need and to learn as much as I can about how organizations work to fight poverty, as I hope to devote my career to helping those in need just as The Borgen Project does.

Any interesting tidbits to share?
I enjoy playing soccer and doing track & field. Some of my hobbies include drawing, playing the guitar, reading, spray painting, and definitely playing video games :)

My Compassion/Humility List
I will do the following for any friends and family who donate in my honor.

  • $50: Challenge you to a sport or video game of your choice
  • $75: Spray paint a mural for you
  • $100: Teach you how to spray paint
  • $150: Choose my next haircut
