Tips for making the cut
1. Know the organization – Spend a lot of time looking through the website and familiarize
yourself with the Borgen Project before your interview. Candidates are usually asked several
questions to determine if they’re highly committed to the cause or simply looking to have the
Borgen Project on their resume.
2. Don’t wait for summer – Summer internships are incredibly competitive and most candidates
selected are from out of state. Increase your chances of being selected by applying for an
internship during the school year.

Students from the following colleges have interned at the Borgen Project: Columbia University George Washington University Seattle Pacific University Tulane University of Durham University of Iowa University of Michigan University of Puget Sound University of Texas University of Virginia University of California San Diego University of Washington University of Wisconsin Waseda University (Tokyo) Washington State University Western Washington Univerisity Yale USC
